SOME BACKGROUND
Born and raised in Zimbabwe, Africa, Shannon Murphy followed a dream to Australia. Soaking up the Visual Arts studies in Brisbane, she's gone on to explore multiple media, exhibiting, teaching, and participating in dynamic arts initiatives. Stepping out of the studio space into an open-air field study, Shannon has expanded from an individualistic self-exploration into an interactive, impressionistic study of different cultures in relation to their environment.
Inspired by the natural world, sharing of stories, skills and knowledge, Shannon is curious to kindle the dynamic relationship of learning, reflecting, meditating, exploring, creating and teaching with a love of the natural world and all beings in it. Nurture Creative Nature is a platform to facilitate art as a way to reconnect the internal world with the land on which we reside and depend.
